5 Must Watch Shows

If you’re looking for something to get lost in over the holiday season, I have five shows that are honestly too good not to share. Whether you want to go deep with a high-stakes spy thriller or something a bit more gritty, here is what’s currently taking my attention.
1. Homeland (A-)
Where to watch: Netflix
The Hook: This one is an absolute classic for a reason. Imagine a soldier coming home after being a prisoner of war for eight years. The whole country thinks he’s a hero, but one brilliant and chaotic CIA officer is convinced he’s actually been turned into a sleeper agent. It’s a total mind game that’ll have you second-guessing everyone. I mean second second-guessing EVERYONE!
2. Landman (A+)
Where to watch: Paramount+
The Hook: If you like Yellowstone, you’ll LOVE this. It’s set in the wild oil fields of West Texas. Billy Bob Thornton is incredible as the guy caught between the billionaire bosses and the roughnecks doing the dirty work. There is never a dull moment, mostly thanks to Billy Bob’s family. It shows you exactly how dangerous and expensive that gallon of gas really is.
3. Tulsa King (A+)
Where to watch: Paramount+
The Hook: Sylvester Stallone plays an old-school New York mobster who gets out of prison and is immediately sent to... Tulsa, Oklahoma. Watching a guy who is used to Italian suit shops and social clubs try to run a crew in the middle of "cowboy country" is the perfect mix of tough-guy action and a fish-out-of-water. The storyline is great. Sorry, Rocky, I think this could be Sly’s best work ever. Yes, I said ever.
4. The Last Frontier (A-)
Where to watch: Apple TV+
The Hook: I mean very skeptical at first, but this has become my latest obsession. A prison transport plane crashes in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness, and all these violent inmates scatter into the woods. It’s a survival race against time in the freezing cold. If you like "manhunt" stories with a massive conspiracy twist, this is the one to binge.
5. Mayor of Kingstown (A+)
Where to watch: Paramount+
The Hook: Fair warning: this one is heavy, but it’s gripping. BUT IT IS GREAT! Possibly some of the best writing of a storyline in years (along with Landman). Jeremy Renner plays a guy who keeps the peace in a town where the only real business is the local prison. He’s the "fixer" for the cops and the criminals. It’s dark and intense, but the acting is so good you won't be able to hit the stop button.
